What is Fit Camp?

Fit Camp is a great new way to challenge your body and reach your goals in a fun, refreshing setting. Boot camp is a type of outdoor group exercise class that mixes traditional calisthenic and body weight exercises with various forms of interval training and strength training. While there are a variety of styles of fit camps, Victory Fitness Camps are designed in a way that encourages you, but at the same time pushes you more than you’d normally push yourself. Our Fit Camps are designed to make make you fit, lose some weight and encourage you on the way, without the traditional ‘in your face yelling’. We’ve kept all the important parts of Personal Training and added the fun parts of  group training. Our Fit Camps are held in various outdoor and indoor locations.

What if I’m not very physically fit?

Fit Camp is for beginner to advanced fitness levels. As long as you have no complications from injury or illness you will survive. We cater for individual fitness level differences. The fitness gains you will see are amazing!!! People start off not being able to run a mile and end up wanting to run a marathon. Significant fitness increase is 100% guaranteed!

I have been working out for years and consider myself quite fit, will I get anything out of Victory Fitness Camp?

Yes, most definitely! If you’re a long time fitness enthusiast our specialized trainers along with other members of the group will push you, to reach performance levels not possible had you chosen to work out alone. You will personally be given harder challenges by the trainers even in a group environment, so no matter how fit you are you will be pushed to your limits. You may be fit but Victory Fitness Camp will make you even fitter!

What types of exercises are included in this program?

Exercises may include but are not limited to: power walking, jogging (optional), lunges, squats, pushups & various other cardio- vascular drills and games. Core conditioning, short distance running, muscular strength, jumping rope, circuit training, hiking,  fitness kick boxing, sport drills, obstacle courses, small hills, surprises, and much more!

When does the next Victory Fit Camp start?

We have various locations and Camp schedules online and offline. Please click the Home page tab to see a list of locations and schedules.

What do I need to bring?

Wear Comfortable sports clothes, supportive shoes and socks. You’ll need to bring a full size towel &/or an exercise mat along with plenty of water to each training session. A hat and sunscreen is also recommended. We also insist you bring a positive and energetic attitude.You can buy exercise mats at most sporting good stores, or alternatively we can supply one for you at our cost price. Hand weights are optional but not necessary.

Do we still train if it’s raining?

Yes, we still train in wet weather as long as it is safe to do so. If grounds are deemed unsafe due to weather conditions and a suitable alternative venue cannot be found the session will be deemed postponed and attempted to be rescheduled to another date.

Can I still train if I have an injury/condition?

This all depends on what injury/condition you have and is a case by case situation. A doctor’s clearance may be required depending on the circumstances. If you are able to train, but limited to what you can do, alternative exercises may be given by your trainers so as you can still participate. Clients that can only do low impact activity can still achieve amazing results.

What is the cost (investment in my health) of a Victory Fitness Camp?

It is only $149/month for unlimited sessions. Where else can you get specialized fitness instruction for such incredible value? Personal training packages typically cost $50 to $100 per hour and other boot camp companies offer similar  programs for $250+. This is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction by a certified personal trainer for just a fraction of the cost.

I feel a little nervous about getting started, I have never done anything like this before.

Many new clients feel that way to begin with – it’s completely normal. We generally find that after you meet with your trainer for the first time, you will feel exceptionally comfortable with our positive attitudes and encouraging training approach. We are guided by a simple passion for helping people – we thrive by educating clients and designing programs that take them well beyond their goals, beyond what they ever thought was possible. We’re here to support you and bring out your best in health, in fitness, in mind and in body. That’s our promise and commitment to you. Also, remember that you will be training alongside people with the same goals as you. We know that you’ll forget about being nervous after the first 5mins!

Will I be sore?

Most people feel soreness for the first 2-4 days. However, everyone is different. Just remember that soreness is part of the process that allows you to improve and build muscle. We highly recommend a warm bath with Epsom Salt which helps relax your tight, sore muscles.

How are we different?

While your physical training will be performed in a team environment, you will receive personalized fitness assessments, fitness guidance and nutritional coaching to help you reach your individual goals. All classes are led by certified fitness professionals.  Each coach is committed to your success. Our program offers the opportunity to meet new friends whose health and fitness goals are similar to yours. We provide you with a supportive fitness community and offer nutritional and supplemental coaching that you can’t find through many other programs.

Why should I participate?

Along with achieving dramatic physical improvements, you will also meet great women [or men] who share your same passion for attaining a healthy body and mind. You’ll gain more energy, self-confidence & clarity.

What is the pre-camp assessment?

  1. An introduction to Fit Camp and the ability to ask any questions you may have.
  2. A review of your medical and fitness history.
  3. Assistance in setting your fitness goals and tips on how to best achieve these goals.
  4. A brief walk through of some nutritional & supplementation information and the ability to ask questions you may have regarding your nutrition.
  5. Your coach will take a few simple body measurements to see where you are prior to beginning camp. We don’t care what the measurements show. It’s strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.
  6. Your coach will record your weight and measure your body fat percentage. Again, the numbers don’t matter. We just want to be able to measure your improvement.

How many coaches will I have?

There will be one head coach and 1 assistant coach at each class depending on the class size.

Are there shower facilities or a place where I can go get ready for work?

This will depend on which camp you attend. Some of our locations have showers and others do not.

What if I sign up for one Camp time, but miss it?

You may attend a different time at any location.  We just want you there!

What types of people go to Camp?

They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little (or big) push to jump-start her/his fitness and wellness program or someone who wants to be pushed to the next level. Even if you haven’t exercised in YEARS – Victory Fit Camp welcomes you!  Our passion is YOU and helping you achieve the healthiest lifestyle possible.  We meet you where you are and go from there.

Do you offer a meal planning and grocery shopping guide?

We show you how to take all of the guesswork and frustration out of what to eat, what to buy at the grocery store, when to eat, and how to prepare your meals. Whether preparing your meals at home, eating on the go, or participating in our Fit Meals on Wheels program, we show you how to make the healthy food choices that will burn body fat and build lean muscle.

Do I have to keep a food journal?

Yes this is highly recommended! There will be weekly reviews and guidance on your food/calorie consumption when you write down and turn in the provided food journals at the end of every week.

Will I have accountability and encouragment?

Absolutely! Because we care about your results we take attendance everyday at camp. If you should happen to hit the snooze button once too often, your coach will send you a friendly email letting you know that we missed you and can’t wait to see you the next day! You are a friend, not just a face in a crowd. Your results are our success.

I’m not a runner. Can I still participate?

Don’t worry, you’re not alone! Fit Camp is not designed to be running intensive. Please let us know about your situation on your registration form or by telling your instructor via email or in person while at camp. We understand that everyone is unique and will work to provide you with alternatives (like power walking) to keep your progress going. You will never be put in a situation where you feel left out or left behind. After all, we’ve seen it happen before… maybe eventually you can become a runner!

What if my schedule is crazy and I can only attend a few times a week?

We understand! For this reason, we offer multiple times and multiple convenient locations throughout the area. While everyone’s schedule is different, we believe that it is important to make the time to take care of yourself! We also offer many online options for those whose schedule just doesn’t allow them to make it to one of our local Camps.

I have a knee, shoulder, back, wrist, ankle(s) problem. Can I still participate?

Yes! As long as the problem is not a recent or unhealed injury that would reasonably prevent you from working out. Just let us know what the issue is, what your limitations are and we will modify any exercises necessary to safely keep your progress going!
