Burn Fat Using Green Tea

In the last decade there has been a huge increase in herbal products, one of the most popular being green tea, but many don’t know how beneficial green tea can be for weight loss. A lot of people know about the benefit that green tea has on their health, but a less people know that it also can help you burn some unwanted calories. Now do not go out and stop eating healthy and working out. Green tea can help you lose weight, but it is not a miracle pill.

It will aid your weight loss program, but it will not be able to do all the work for you. You may be wondering, “How can green tea help me lose some lbs?” Good question and it’s actually pretty easy to answer. For starters, green tea contains caffeine. Many people don’t realize, but caffeine is a stimulant and will naturally help you burn unwanted calories. The reason why caffeine in drinks such as Coca-Cola is not beneficial is because those drinks contain a ton of calories on their own.

Bottom line is that soda pop, coffee, and energy drinks will not help you lose weight because while they do contain caffeine, they also have a lot of fat and calories that your body doesn’t need. Never forget that green tea will just give you a little extra energy, approximately around 70-80 extra calories burned each day you take it. Keep in mind that number is a great deal less than the large amount of calories found in most sodas and coffee.

Another ingredient that gives green tea the ability to help you lose weight is a compound named epigallocatechin gallate, also known as ECCCG. This ingredient in green tea ups the effectiveness of the caffeine in green tea helping you burn more calories. Since green tea has a lot less calories than coffee or soda, this is what helps you lose weight.

We can not state enough that green tea is not a miracle pill, it is just something that will help you battle that extra fat. Let’s just say that you changed nothing in your workout or eating regime, and starting have a cup of green tea daily. That would mean you would lose an extra 80 calories each day. With only doing this you would only lose an extra 8 lbs in a year. So as stated earlier, this is not a weight loss solution, but it is something that will help you lose weight.

But there are other benefits of consuming green tea other than just to lose those unwanted lbs. Green tea is an antioxidant and increases your heart health. What does that mean exactly? Simply put, green tea can help you decrease the chance of getting heart issues. Not only that, but green tea also helps boost your metabolism and maintain your cholesterol level. Some have even claimed it can help with mental focus and clarity too.

If you are someone that drinks coffee on a daily basis, you should consider drinking green tea in place of your coffee. This will be a way to help you get healthier and lose weight, if that is your goal. When you replace your coffee with green tea, you are taken all those unwanted calories and chemicals found in coffee, and exchanging them with a pure herbal tea. This simple, but effective, change can help you lose weight and get and feel healthier in just a few months.
