Exercises to Help You Lose Wait Quickly

So are you someone that wants to drop a few lbs fast, but just aren’t sure how to do it? You realize that just dieting alone isn’t going to give you the figure that you had “once upon a time.” You know you are going to need to do a little more.

And what you need to do is start moving…aka exercise. Most exercises that you do are going to be great for losing weight…the key is to get moving! But there are certain exercises that you can do that will help you drop pounds more quickly. I know that fitting exercise into your already busy life can at times be challenging, but it is so worth it…not just for how you look, but for how you will feel. The exercises that I am recommending below will not require a lot of time out of your day, but will give you great results.

There are 2 kinds of exercises that should be part of your regiment. Aerobic exercises and resistance or weight training. Both of these are needed in your workout routine for optimal results because they both work differently. Aerobic exercises will improve stamina and increase your heart rate. Here are some aerobic exercises that can either be done outside or on gym equipment:

  1. Running
  2. Fast Walking
  3. Cycling
  4. Skipping

Resistance training is geared towards building lean muscle, which as we all know, the more muscle we have the more calories we will burn naturally. Here are a few exercises that you can do at home:

  1. Walking – It should go without saying that walking is a major key in losing weight. The more you walk each day, the better, but you should aim for at least 30 minutes of focused walking each and every day. If you want to lose weight more quickly, it is recommended that you walk for at least 30 minutes 2x a day. When you walk, you will want to get into your fat burning zone. To find your fat burning zone you will need to first know your resting heart rate. Look for a heart rate chart to determine that and then you will be able to find your fat burning zone. Stay in that zone for optimal fat loss.
  2. Skipping – As silly as it may seem, skipping is actually a very effective aerobic exercise. Just skipping 50x per day will have you burning calories…and let’s face it, it will put a smile on your face. Try to add 10 skips everyday to start speeding up your weight loss results.
  3. Step-Ups – You can use your outside steps or inside steps for this one. You will simply be stepping up and down, this activity will increase your heart rate and burn calories. Start out by doing 3 sets of 20 steps (on each leg) per day and then increase the amount of steps as your endurance increases. You can also find taller things to step up on as your fitness levels rise to keep the intensity always going up and to make sure you are challenging yourself.
  4. Squats – These are great for building lean, strong legs. Squats are often considered one of the more difficult exercises to do, so don’t be discouraged if you can only do a few when you start out. Try to do at least 3 sets of 15 when you start out and then continue to add 5 each day.

All of these exercises have one thing in common: to help YOU shed pounds quickly. If you just commit to doing the above mentioned exercises every day you will be headed in the right direction.
